service that sets us apart from all of our competitors. We also

Where does the most
valuable information come from that the technician needs?
From the customer, with the information the
customer provides, the tech can troubleshoot and diagnose the problem
the best he possibly can.
What information do I need
to give the mechanic working on my car or truck?
The customer needs to make the information
clear. You should tell the tech the year, make, model, VIN number,
condition, possible cause, when it acts up, any noise associated, if any
fluid is leaking, or if anyone has already checked out the problem.
What is a VIN number and
why is it important?
A VIN number is a Vehicle Identification
Information Number. In order to locate the correct service
information required for a maintenance or service job, the technician
must find the VIN number. The VIN number tells the tech who the
manufacturer was, the model, engine, transaxles, and other major
components. The VIN number is located on a plate fastened to the
upper left instrument panel area under the windshield.
